We recorded this one before seeing The Avengers, and I admit that I may need to eat a bit of crow in RE: Joss Wheadon.

I wish I would have been in on this one, I would have mentioned ‘Wanted’ which was an entertaining movie that was drastically different than the comic. Also the Hellboy movies were pretty cool.

Couldn’t agree more on Spidey 3 being a horrible movie.  The stuff with Harry was good and could have worked better if it was with a single secondary villain that was strong.  Instead they gave us Sandman, who accidentally killed Uncle Ben and took away Peter’s drive for being a hero, and a shitty Venom.  I’ve ranted a lot about this movie, but if they had made Sandman a thief that was unrepentant and wanted to use his new powers to rob the hell out of NYC, it would have been a lot better.

But the worst thing about the movie?  They turned MJ, and this started in the second movie, into an awful, awful person.  She’s the single most self-absorbed character in any story I’ve ever seen or read.  She hates on Peter in the second movie for never being there for her, toys with his emotions and then says she’s dating someone.   It’s never occurred to her to ask if something was going on with Peter to make him so distant and unreliable.  No, it’s all about her.  At the end when she finds out he’s Spider-Man, she runs out on her wedding to be with him because suddenly he’s interesting!  Screw her.

In the third movie, she spends most of the time pissed off at him because he’s off saving lives instead of making the center of his universe.  I hate her and wish she would have died at Venom’s hands.
